Busy Week at SEA Sailmakers: Sails, Events, and Annapolis Preparations

This past week has been another whirlwind at South East Asia Sails (SEA Sailmakers), filled with exciting new projects and global deliveries. From custom sails to local events and international exhibitions, we've been hard at work ensuring our clients get the best in quality and service.

The sailmaking team has delivered a range of custom sails, starting with a Short Batten Mizzen and a 135% Roller Furling Genoa for a Tartan 27 Yawl, now ready to make its way to Norfolk, Virginia. We also completed a Short Batten Mainsail for a Beneteau First 285, which is set to ship off to Bishop, California. Another highlight was crafting a Full Batten Mizzen for a custom Ketch, which is bound for North Haven, Connecticut.

For our international customers, we made a Roller Furling Jib for an Elan 494 that's headed to Estonia and packed a Boom Cover for a Catalina 27 Tall Rig en route to San Francisco. We also completed a Roller Furling Genoa for a Carter 36 destined for Ontario, Canada.

A big thank you to the team at @sailingxantippe for sharing an awesome picture of their SEA Sails Genoa flying proudly on the bow of their Hanse 445 as they sail through the stunning waters of the Caribbean. We love seeing our work in action!

In addition to our sailmaking efforts, we attended the Skål International Phuket Club #449 Dinner on September 19th. The event was held at the Thai Thai Restaurant at the Pullman Phuket Karon Beach Resort, with about 60 attendees. The evening began with pre-dinner drinks and a sampling of delectable Thai delicacies, followed by Skal toasts and announcements. Highlights included the upcoming AGM and elections, the Annual Skal Forum in Chiang Mai, and an exciting new membership promotion (16 months for the price of 12). Dinner was a spectacular buffet, featuring everything from mini beef burgers to salmon en croute, and the famous "honeypot" ice cream counter, which attracted its fair share of attention.

Finally, we’ve been busy preparing for the Annapolis Sailboat Show (October 10th-14th), where we will be exhibiting at Booth F7. Rob and Iwiyisi will be heading to the U.S. next week to attend, so be sure to stop by if you're in the area and looking to discuss custom sail solutions, sail repairs, or just to chat about all things sailing.

It’s been an exciting and productive week here at SEA Sailmakers, and we look forward to bringing more innovative solutions to our clients around the world. Stay tuned for updates as we continue to sail forward and prepare for the Annapolis Sailboat Show!
